James ALLEN (1797?-1865)

James ALLEN [1176], son of Joseph ALLEN (1772?-1840) [1259] and Anne COX (1773-1859) [1260], was born in 1797 (calculated) in Deddington, Oxfordshire. He married Elizabeth MERCER [1177] on 1 July 1821 in Middleton Stoney, Oxfordshire. They married by licence. James ALLEN was given as 'of Bicester'. Elizabeth surname was given as MERCER but she signed MESSER. From 1823 to 1861 James was a Blacksmith. baptism of children and 1861 census. Daniel ALLEN (1831- ) [1189]. Daniel was born in 1831 in Middle Barton. He was baptised on 13 March 1831 in Steeple Barton. He appeared in the census on 6 June 1841 at Middle in Steeple Barton.
